In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Sculpture Sale, which included the work Love talk by Kees Verkade. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,625.00 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kees Verkade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casmira dansant in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 49,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Sculpture Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Love talk von Kees Verkade zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.625,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees Verkade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casmira dansant im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.000,00.
