Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Le Pho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Still Life sold for HKD 1,111,800.00 (€ 133,233.09) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 470,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Le Pho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in a garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Le Pho erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life für HKD 1.111.800,00 (€ 133.233,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 470.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Le Pho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in a garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44).
