The work Paysage de Cagnes by Foujita was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 56,700.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).

Die Arbeit Paysage de Cagnes von Foujita kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 56.700,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
