Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stalin and Marilyn at the table by Leonid Sokov was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,060.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonid Sokov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lenin And Giacometti in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stalin and Marilyn at the table von Leonid Sokov wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.060,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Sokov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lenin And Giacometti im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.699,22).
