In June last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Le Cheval Menaçant - 1951 by Léopold Survage. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,152.00 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léopold Survage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Ville - 1920 in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 268,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Cheval Menaçant - 1951 von Léopold Survage zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.152,00 und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léopold Survage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Ville - 1920 im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 268.400,00.
