Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 22,956.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Letitia Marion Hamilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wicklow Hunt Point To Point Races, which sold at auction in May 2014 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 52,233.87).

Die Arbeit At the well von Letitia Marion Hamilton wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 22.956,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Letitia Marion Hamilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wicklow Hunt Point To Point Races beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 52.233,87) versteigert wurde.
