It achieved a price of HKD 9,987.50 (€ 1,442.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Kuchan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egret by Lotus in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 168,189.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Poem In Cursive Script Calligraphy von Li Kuchan kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 9.987,50 (€ 1.442,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Kuchan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egret by Lotus im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 168.189,06).
