This artwork by Liang Qichao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. In the The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Ci Poem In Regular Script sold for USD 47,500.00 (€ 38,555.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Qichao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 4,160,000.00 (€ 480,774.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Qichao erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Ci Poem In Regular Script für USD 47.500,00 (€ 38.555,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Qichao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.160.000,00 (€ 480.774,05).
