Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flying Geese over the Reed Pond by Lin Fengmian was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,857.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Fengmian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work FISHING VILLAGE in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 39,740,000.00 (€ 4,842,584.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flying Geese over the Reed Pond von Lin Fengmian wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.857,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Fengmian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit FISHING VILLAGE im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 39.740.000,00 (€ 4.842.584,61).
