Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Cranes Dancing by Lin Hukui. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 22,878.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lin Hukui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cranes in Snow, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
