Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lin Liang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Ducks In The Shade Of Willow Trees changed hands for HKD 143,400.00 (€ 14,934.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 314,123.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lin Liang konnte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wechselte die Arbeit Ducks In The Shade Of Willow Trees für HKD 143.400,00 (€ 14.934,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 314.123,38).
