Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Cockfighting by Liu Haisu. The price achieved of HKD 480,000.00 (€ 490,173.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Liu Haisu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2018 the work Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak was auctioned for HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 519,435.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cockfighting von Liu Haisu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 480.000,00 (€ 490.173,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Liu Haisu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2018 die Arbeit Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak für HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 519.435,55) versteigert.
