This artwork by Liu Haisu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Eagle And Pine Trees sold for HKD 540,000.00 (€ 60,067.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Haisu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak in September 2018 with an auction result of HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 519,435.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Haisu erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Eagle And Pine Trees für HKD 540.000,00 (€ 60.067,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Haisu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 519.435,55).
