Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mount Huang by Liu Haisu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 325,000.00 (€ 34,355.01), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Haisu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak in September 2018 with an auction result of HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 519,435.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mount Huang von Liu Haisu wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 34.355,01) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Haisu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 519.435,55).
