In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Convergences: A Special Sale of Singapore Art, which included the work Singapore River by Liu Kang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 33,587.39), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Convergences: A Special Sale of Singapore Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Singapore River von Liu Kang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 33.587,39) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
