This artwork by Liu Kuo-Sung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction, the work Abstract Movement sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuo-Sung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Kuo-Sung erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink wurde die Arbeit Abstract Movement für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuo-Sung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Trajectory of the Planet im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.838.152,17).
