Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Earth, Our Home (B) by Liu Kuo-Sung was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,200,000.00 – 3,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,331,000.00 (€ 276,739.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Kuo-Sung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Earth, Our Home (B) von Liu Kuo-Sung kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.200.000,00 – 3.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.331.000,00 (€ 276.739,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kuo-Sung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Trajectory of the Planet im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.838.152,17).
