Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sydney Harbour by Lloyd Rees was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,985.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lloyd Rees have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian The Morning Ferry in November 2009 with an auction result of AUD 240,000.00 (€ 146,346.54).

Die Arbeit Sydney Harbour von Lloyd Rees kam im Dezember 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 16.985,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lloyd Rees auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian The Morning Ferry im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 240.000,00 (€ 146.346,54).
