Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2007 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings, which included the work Vue D'Une Terrasse, Probablement À Saint-Cloud by Louis Gabriel Moreau. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 36,000.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Gabriel Moreau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Moonlit Landscape With Boatmen, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 103,858.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue D'Une Terrasse, Probablement À Saint-Cloud von Louis Gabriel Moreau zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 36.000,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Gabriel Moreau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Moonlit Landscape With Boatmen beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 103.858,94) versteigert wurde.
