However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas Cranach II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green velvet and orange dress and a pearl-embroidered black hat, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 1,812,000.00 (€ 2,691,238.28).
