Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work In Search of Zen by Lui Shou-Kwan. The price achieved of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 55,091.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 380,000.00 – 580,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lui Shou-Kwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Search of Zen von Lui Shou-Kwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 55.091,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 380.000,00 – 580.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
