The work In the Park by Luis Chan was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,255.96) to a buyer in May 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Luis Chan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Luis Chan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
