This artwork by Mahmoud Saïd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2010. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work The Girl in the Pink Dress sold for USD 278,500.00 (€ 200,446.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Saïd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Whirling Dervishes in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,546,500.00 (€ 1,832,805.53).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Saïd erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Girl in the Pink Dress für USD 278.500,00 (€ 200.446,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Saïd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Whirling Dervishes im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.546.500,00 (€ 1.832.805,53).
