Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,692.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maqbool Fida Husain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,526,311.41).

Die Arbeit Mohini Cinema Ghar; Not A Farewell To Arms; Husain Doshi Gufa von Maqbool Fida Husain kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.692,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maqbool Fida Husain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.526.311,41).
