Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work French canal De Venise by Marc Aldine. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,468.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marc Aldine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Venetian canal in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 39,950.00 (€ 65,307.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit French canal De Venise von Marc Aldine zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.468,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Aldine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Venetian canal im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.950,00 (€ 65.307,73).
