Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Marc Chagall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June last year. In the Marc Chagall, Colour of Life: Works Formerly from the Artist's Estate auction, the work Clown et cheval bleu sold for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 409,853.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Chagall erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marc Chagall, Colour of Life: Works Formerly from the Artist's Estate wurde die Arbeit Clown et cheval bleu für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 409.853,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
