Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction African Contemporary Art, Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Les Amoureux Au Carré Vert, Circa 1970-1975 by Marc Chagall. The price achieved of MAD 14,979,000.00 (€ 1,416,109.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 13,200,000.00 – 16,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion African Contemporary Art, Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Amoureux Au Carré Vert, Circa 1970-1975 von Marc Chagall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 14.979.000,00 (€ 1.416.109,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 13.200.000,00 – 16.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
