Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Marc Chagall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in April this year. In the Chagall et la Musique Oeuvres provenant de la succession de l’artiste auction, the work Roi David à la harpe dans la nuit sold for EUR 107,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Chagall erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chagall et la Musique Oeuvres provenant de la succession de l’artiste wurde die Arbeit Roi David à la harpe dans la nuit für EUR 107.100,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
