Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Chance Meeting by Martin Lewis was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,352.00 (€ 5,013.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. Admittedly, works by Martin Lewis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Chance Meeting von Martin Lewis kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.352,00 (€ 5.013,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Lewis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.276,85).
