Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Veterans by Martin Lewis was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 16,640.00 (€ 19,168.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).

Die Arbeit Veterans von Martin Lewis kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.640,00 (€ 19.168,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden.
