Strauss auction, the work St Sebastian (large) (Bartsch 59; Lehrs, Schmitt, Stogdon (Hollstein) 65) sold for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 19,705.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Schongauer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Death of the Virgin in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 492,500.00 (€ 429,980.79).
