The price achieved of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 445,184.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) was auctioned for GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).
