In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Syrianuntitled by Marwan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 112,500.00 (€ 126,865.29), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kopf., which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 262,500.00.

Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Syrianuntitled von Marwan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 112.500,00 (€ 126.865,29) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kopf. beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 262.500,00 versteigert wurde.
