In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Part I, which included the work A Coastal Scene With Travelers And Drovers, A Harbor In The Distance; And A Town On An Estuary With Peasants In Boats by Mathys Schoevaerdts. The price achieved of USD 240,000.00 (€ 190,114.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00.
