Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Rentrée des bateaux crevettiers, Le Croisic by Maxime Maufra was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,650.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxime Maufra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Vent in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).

Die Arbeit Le Rentrée des bateaux crevettiers, Le Croisic von Maxime Maufra wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.650,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Vent im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08).
