The work Five Islands from Carenage by Michel Jean Cazabon was sold in the Topographical Pictures auction at Christies in London in October 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 27,975.00). Admittedly, works by Michel Jean Cazabon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint-Pierre, Martinique in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,741.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five Islands from Carenage von Michel Jean Cazabon wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Topographical Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 27.975,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel Jean Cazabon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint-Pierre, Martinique im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 137.741,48).
