Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Reclining Nude by Milton Avery was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 327,600.00 (€ 286,313.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Letter in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,069,500.00 (€ 5,656,043.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Milton Avery kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 327.600,00 (€ 286.313,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Letter im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.069.500,00 (€ 5.656.043,24).
