In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Untitled (From the Sand Composition series) by Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,405.26), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Continuita x3, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 134,348.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From the Sand Composition series) von Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.405,26) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Continuita x3 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 134.348,37) versteigert wurde.
