In May 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Angels by Nikolaus Gysis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,633.85), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolaus Gysis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Grandfather And Grandson in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 580,500.00 (€ 812,850.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angels von Nikolaus Gysis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.633,85) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolaus Gysis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Grandfather And Grandson im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 580.500,00 (€ 812.850,18).
