Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Autocars Postaux by Niklaus Stoecklin was sold in the The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters auction at Christies in London in January 2012. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,620.78), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niklaus Stoecklin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kloster Schöntal, 1927 Abbey Schöntal, 1927 in May 2011 with an auction result of CHF 80,500.00 (€ 64,613.91).
