Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Japanese Monk by Nicolas Kalmakoff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2008. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,900.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Kalmakoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 380,941.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Japanese Monk von Nicolas Kalmakoff kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.900,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Kalmakoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 380.941,16).
