Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Iron-Clad Emmanuel by Nicolas Kalmakoff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 44,051.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Kalmakoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 380,941.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Iron-Clad Emmanuel von Nicolas Kalmakoff kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 44.051,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Kalmakoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 380.941,16).
