Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Bacchus, 2021 by Olamilekan Abatan was worth EUR 20,800.00 to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction African Contemporary Art at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Olamilekan Abatan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Narcisse, 2022 sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of EUR 36,736.00.

Die Arbeit Bacchus, 2021 von Olamilekan Abatan war einem Käufer im November 2021 EUR 20.800,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
