The work Couple posant pour un peintre en habit de cour (Couple Posing for a Painter in Court Dress), plate 214 from Série 347 (Bl. 1694, Ba. 1710) by Pablo Picasso was auctioned at Phillips in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 6,985.00 (€ 8,094.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
