In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Picasso Ceramics: Including Property from the Collection of Joan A. Mendell, which included the work Joueur de flûte et chèvre (A.R. 382) by Pablo Picasso. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,071.71), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen

Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Picasso Ceramics: Including Property from the Collection of Joan A. Mendell durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joueur de flûte et chèvre (A.R. 382) von Pablo Picasso zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.071,71) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Picasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 179.365.000,00 (€ 163.148.080,77).
