Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Pablo Picasso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November this year. In the Pablo Picasso - Paper and Clay: Online Auction auction, the work Visage (Face) (A.R. 243) sold for GBP 1,905.00 (€ 2,207.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pablo Picasso erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pablo Picasso - Paper and Clay: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Visage (Face) (A.R. 243) für GBP 1.905,00 (€ 2.207,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Picasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 179.365.000,00 (€ 163.148.080,77).
