This artwork by Pang Jiun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Paradise Island sold for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,713.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Jiun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monet’S Garden in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pang Jiun erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Paradise Island für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.713,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pang Jiun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monet’S Garden im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
