Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Sacrifice From 'Your Time Starts Now' Series by Patricia Piccinini for AUD 11,950.00 (€ 6,982.00). This price was achieved in the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS at Christies in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Patricia Piccinini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Canopy in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 56,400.00 (€ 33,158.67).

Im Mai 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sacrifice From 'Your Time Starts Now' Series von Patricia Piccinini für AUD 11.950,00 (€ 6.982,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patricia Piccinini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Canopy im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 56.400,00 (€ 33.158,67).
