Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Gebirgslandschaft mit Burg by Paul Bril. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,596.00 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Bril achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Extensive Landscape With Tobit, Tobias And The Archangel Raphael in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 857,602.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gebirgslandschaft mit Burg von Paul Bril zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.596,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Bril erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Extensive Landscape With Tobit, Tobias And The Archangel Raphael im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 713.250,00 (€ 857.602,76).
