In the Fine Nineteenth Century European Art auction, the work A break from the cold changed hands for USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,135.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Grolleron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Après la bataille (Waterloo) in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,995.84).
